FAQ: Gmail / Google Login in SiteKiosk Online
By default, the SiteKiosk Online Client for Windows uses the Electron Chromium engine. This engine is installed together with SiteKiosk and depends on the client version.
Version History:

Unfortunately, Google regularly restricts login access for such browser engines.
When trying to sign in to Gmail or Google, you may see this message:
"Couldn't sign you in… This browser or app may not be secure… Try using a different browser."
To resolve the issue, you have the following options:
1. Switch to the "Edge (WebView2)" browser engine
The Edge WebView2 engine is available starting with SiteKiosk Online Client version 1.7.
More information at:
https://sitekiosk.online/help/en/Browser.html
Change this setting in your project at ">Settings>Browser >Browser engine" to Edge (WebView2).
Advantage: Edge receives automatic updates via Windows Update, independent of SiteKiosk releases. This option is ideal if you allow unrestricted web access, as the browser is always up to date. Note: Automatic Edge updates may cause potential compatibility issues.
2. Continue using the Electron engine with a modified User Agent
In your project go to ">Settings>Browser >Browser User Agent" and enable "Append SiteKiosk and the version to the user agent".
Advantage: The Electron engine provides the best integration with SiteKiosk Online. This option is recommended if you want full control of the browsing environment and only specific websites to be shown. Your setup will remain stable in your existing tested configuration, unaffected by external browser updates.
