Description

Since last week Sharepoint Home page continuing refresh with Chrome. I't happenend the same problem with three different SiteKiosk Classic in different logistics sites.

SiteKiosk Classic version 9.9.6748 is no longer supported. But we have received similar inquiries regarding this issue, and it appears that Microsoft has made changes to the website code which causes this behaviour in SiteKiosk Classic.

The issue is caused by a window.close call triggered by one of the web pages involved during the login process. Although this call is not primarily intended to close the browser window itself, SiteKiosk interprets it as such and closes the currently active tab or window. To properly handle this unintended behavior an adjustment in the SiteKiosk Classic Windows code is required.

Updating to SiteKiosk Classic version 9.10.95 should resolve the issue.

- SiteKiosk Classic will remain available as a standalone software solution. Support is limited to addressing critical bugs, and the SiteKiosk Classic Windows version typically receives approximately one to two updates annually for the Chromium browser engine.
Currently no official end-of-life date has been set.
- The SiteRemote.net service was discontinued on 31 December 2025.
- Self-hosted SiteRemote servers may continue to operate beyond December 31, 2025; however, no further product development will take place.
