Support Request: Request for Code Signing of Unsigned SiteKiosk Executables

Description

Our Security Team has identified several executable (.exe) files within the SiteKiosk installation that are unsigned and are consequently being flagged by our security software as potentially malicious.

One of the affected files is SiteKiosk.Executer.exe.

Could you confirm whether these executables are expected to be unsigned and whether they can be digitally signed using your official code-signing certificate?

Ideally, we would like these files to be digitally signed and included in a future SiteKiosk update to prevent false-positive malware detections without requiring security exclusions.

Please advise whether this can be accommodated and whether it could be included in an upcoming release.

Thanks,
Jack

Hello Jack,

In general, the main SiteKiosk components, particularly the executable files launched directly by users, are digitally signed. However, not all executable files included in the SiteKiosk installation are signed.

I will forward your suggestion to our development team for consideration in a future update. At this point, I cannot confirm whether or when this will be implemented.

In the meantime, you may want to check with your security team whether an exception for the SiteKiosk installation directory could be considered, provided this is permitted by your organization's security policies.
